Forever Friend by Patch

All my life I have been living in the shadows.
A wretched beast forced behind a mask.
A person who's mother couldn't even learn to love.
A person who has had the entire world against him.
All because of his hideous complexion.
My deformity has rewarded me a life filled with loneliness.
Perhaps a kind heart could change things.
Perhaps someone will actually look deeper than what is on the surface.
Look deep into my soul.
And maybe I can gain a true friend.
A forever friend.
Someone perhaps.. To call my twin
Friendship is a very near and dear thing to me.
With humbled honor I have someone now to call my forever friend.
A twin.
And they have me to call their forever friend as well.
For they have seen the beast behind the mask.
And they are not afraid.
